Natural Cleaners for the Home

Young Living Thieves Line of ProductsI wonder how many people know that one of the primary reasons our indoor air quality is so poor is because of all the chemicals used in the home for cleaning, debugging, dishes, laundry, pest control, personal hygiene, off-gassing from new paint, furniture, flooring, etc.?

Because marketing has been so effective in the media for touting the benefits of these products without (of course) teaching you about the side effects, I’d venture to say the majority of American households today are unaware of the toxic dangers all around them in their homes.

The good news is, with a little bit of effort (not much), and some great recipes you can create natural cleaners in your home that are safe, effective, AND good for you, your family and your pets!

The following link is from the Herb Companion newsletter and it has quite a few GREAT herbal/essential oil recipes:

I’ve followed some of these recipes using Young Living Essential Oils as I feel they are the BEST EOs to use. You can even use less than is called for in these recipes when using Young Living.

Young Living also has the best all-purpose, natural household cleaner that you can use for cleaning floors, counters, laundry, and even as a natural pest control in your home and yard – safely! It is called Thieves All-Purpose Household Cleaner – I LOVE this product so it is part of my regular monthly autoship order. In fact I LOVE all of the Thieves products by Young Living. Shadrach blogged about the Thieves products quite a lot here over the last several years. So do search here on the blog to find out more.
