Hi, my name is Ezra! Welcome to my team member page. I am the newest member of this pack, at the time of this writing I am only 14 1/2 weeks old. I’m a Carolina Dog just like my predecessor Schatzie. I get to hang out here with my new big brother King, he and I are best buddies…except I know I bug him sometimes be paws I’m just a kid and he’s an old guy. Well he’s old to me anyway, woof! He’s big and strong and I want to be just like that when I’m a big boy.
I came here all the way from TN! My then humans drove me here. Everything here is different – TN is hot, humid and green. It is hot here too but dry, and desert. I’ve adapted well to the desert though. I love all the dirt to dig in, all the birds to chase, and the big open skies. Mom says I’ll get to go on big boy walks with my big brother when I get a little bigger. She says I’m still coyote bait – that’s what she thinks! King will protect me, but I know they’re keeping me safe within fences. If you don’t know what that means just check out my mom’s two podcasts:
My favorite game to play is hide and seek and also CHASE! I do it all combined. Mom is teaching me how to also fetch a ball which I’m already very good at, come, sit, stay…she says soon down. I struggle with down but I’m learning. She plays various games with me which are fun but I also know they are to help my brain work. She also lets me DIG a lot down in our lower yard which is all natural desert flora and fauna. I do terrorize the plants there be paws I think it is great fun. Mom is not so impressed though, woof!
She’s working on a special song for me, but for now all she sings is my name, “Ezra, BigEzra, Ehhhhzra!” But I like it! She calls me “little” too but she also says I’m growing fast and will be a big boy soon. She’s not fond of my whining, but it’s how I express myself. When I’m a big boy I probably won’t cry as much. That’s why she doesn’t take me on the walks wholly yet. Bepaws when I first got here they did and I was so scared I whined so much that the coyotes started following us and howling. That was scary. So now I just go a short ways with Mom, Dad, and King…then mom brings me back to run and play in our big yard which is GREAT fun to me! Safety in my fence and earning freedom in the process.

“And they sang responsively, praising and giving thanks to the Lord: For He is good, His mercy endures forever toward Israel. Then all the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised the Lord, because the foundation of the house of the Lord was laid.” Ezra 3:11, NKJV
