The Neighborhood Ambassador

Lesson 8 Chapter 3

Meshach the Dog Ambassador

From the first day this boy entered my life on a hot August morning in 2011, I was smitten. He totally wrapped me around his paws.  After he passed (there will be an audio in a subsequent lesson in this class about that), I was utterly broken.

First Shadrach passed April 5, 2011. Shattered. Wondering how to go forward without my strong boy, along came Meshach at the end of the summer in time for my birthday gifted to me by my friend Kim - yes two Kims who loved the Danes! He was beautiful inside and out. It was a journey into the desert wilderness with him.

It became a dark night as time went on due to his seizures. I wasn't sure I'd ever emerge from the loss of this boy especially so close on the heels of losing Shadrach. Meshach only lived to 15 months of age.

However, sharing stories of him and remembering him, give me JOY! The joy of the Lord IS truly what strengthens us. Even with the hardship his sweet life brought me, I'm grateful he was a part of my own journey. Applying this oil blend always raises me to the vibration of the joy of the Lord. God gives us beauty for ashes, the oil of joy in our mourning, and a garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness (Isaiah 61:3).

This story of Meshach's ambassadorship is told on this blog post:

The audio is from my allegorical book, Be Transformed, Be Renewed Be Well
