We can’t keep eliminating the predators because they help keep the ecosystem in balance. That includes these critters that are often very denigrated. Nature always has the solutions, but we keep annihilating them, then creating products that only add to the problems. Even natural products don’t always do the trick.
If you watch the wild herds for instance in Africa, they often have a variety of birds for example (on the water buffalo, the antelope, the wildebeest) that eat the ticks, fleas, etc. off them. It’s no different here, except we keep hating and killing our natural nature helpers.
What if we didn’t? What if we instead saw them for what they are and embraced that? Less products needed and a good balance in nature and our own backyard ecosystems will then be the result!
Lyme disease in Dogs

I don’t really like to focus on this stuff as much these days, but my hope in sharing this is for you to possibly gain a different perspective. A much more hopeful one. My goal here going forward, over time, is to help us shift our focus entirely to HEALTH rather than ANY dis-ease. And to remove the fear surrounding it all! To speak what we want not what we don’t want.
That may sound so cray to some if not most of you, but that is definitely my aim. A lofty goal? I wouldn’t be doing this if I thought it would be easy. It is simple though. The “ease” or lack thereof is in our MINDSET. So, what will the challenge be? OUR MINDS and how we THINK about health and DIS-ease.
The Parasite “Dilemma”
I can’t remember how many posts I’ve done on this topic but I’m certain quite a few of them. Just look at the tags, categories and blog posts that are linked with this post to find more.
I mentioned this topic on a presentation for Your Pets’ Health which I was a participant in for the Stream-A-Thon-for-Pets online event back on May 1, 2020.
Here is just one of MANY articles you can check out on this subject, this one is on fleas though not ticks: Bravecto Flea Medication Suspected in Numerous Dog Deaths Worldwide.
I’m sharing on what so many people fear, especially this time of year: pests and parasites. Hopefully this topic will help release some fear so faith can reside there instead.
Quotes:
“…Perfect love casts out fear;...” ~1 John 4:18, NKJV
“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.” ~3 John 1:2, NKJV
“The greatest discovery of any generation is that human beings can alter their lives by altering the attitudes of their minds.” ~Albert Schweitzer – this can determine health or dis-ease in us and our pets
“Simple solutions are always considered irrelevant and inconsequential – even when they are true.” ~Chris Tiegreen
I hope this helps you and your dogs live a naturally pest-free summer!
Until next time…
