Hey y’all, thought I’d share a little something I’ve been doing lately – just as an experiment. I’m sharing this as a possible aid for you. Please keep in mind this is for we humans, NOT our dogs. I know a lot of people say to apply these oils to the paws of our dogs, but I’m not one of those people. Why? Because the paws have detoxification pathways, scent glands, and more. I don’t think it helps them to have oils added there. You don’t have to agree, but this is my own caution for your dogs and also I don’t know what essential oils you’re using. On this blog I am only referencing Young Living Essential Oils. Okay now that we have that out of the way let’s continue…
For those of you who have been using these essential oils for a long time, may think, “Kim this is a no-brainer” and you’d be right. I apply oils daily all over but recently I decided I’d try just applying the oils to the bottoms of my feet. I’ve been using these oils for 21 years now so this isn’t something new I’m sharing. The distinction is simply applying the oils only to my feet rather than in various places on my body I’ve felt they’re needed at the time.
Doing this has been a game changer for me! I do still apply to my wrists and behind my ears as my “perfume” but not for any other needs. I only recently started doing this – as in the last few days.
My results have been:
- much better sleep
- more energy
- better mood
- overall feeling much better

Why? Many apply to the feet because they may not like the scent of certain oils initially which helps you get used to that oil or blend but also helps detox whatever emotion, feeling, toxin, etc. so you can begin to like that scent over time. Also, though, the bottoms of our feet have a connection to our organ systems and meridians (as do the ears) as you’ll see in the pic.
I’m really glad I decided to try this as it was practically an instantaneous and noticeable change within me.
At night before bed I apply the a mixture of the raindrop oils I keep as a blend with a rollerball on the bottle. This has worked much better then applying to my neck, forehead and shoulders. This is typically how we see taught to apply to children and babies so this just makes sense (scents) for adults to do likewise doesn’t it?
That’s all I have to share today.
Until next time…
Have a fragrantly healthy day!
