Here’s the thing, the more we share the absolute truth, the lies only get bigger. With censorship on the rise in this country, especially right now in social media, it has become far more evident that we need to continue to spread the truth. This is nothing new because there is nothing new under the sun. Let me share with you one lie that is continuing to grow and then you can listen to this week’s podcast for another lie that is growing and all the quotes I shared on that – the good, the bad and the ugly!
DOGS ARE CARNIVORES. I don’t care how you want to spin it, it simply is. The more complicated, convoluted, and pervasive the lie to the contrary becomes the more we ought to know the simple truth. My colleague Dr. Jeannie and our one of our graduates from our former animal naturopathy school (she is both an animal chiropractor and a carnivore nutrition consultant) created the above graphic together to show the simple truth. People will blind their eyes and maybe even pluck them out to deny it rather than receive the simple truth.
You’re going to see more of this vegan garbage for our CARNIVORE companions now more than ever before. This is what I posted on a friend’s timeline when he once again engaged this topic with his multitude of vegan followers – he himself is one but doesn’t believe his cat is thankfully nor does he expect him to be!
I said, “Welcome to our world. I have dealt with this insanity for so many years with people making up whatever suits THEIR beliefs, THEIR needs, THEIR ideals (THEIR idols, THEIR convenience, on and on ad nauseam) and then say they love their pets.
No they need them rather than love them or they’d recognize the simple facts (TRUTH). Cats and dogs are BOTH obligate carnivores. Both scavenge. Both are opportunistic and that’s why people think they can make up this omnivore, vegan, make believe. Why not just get herbivorous pets instead???
I’m not going to argue this with people anymore. I just don’t need to because I know the simple truth. Because I receive the truth. Because it’s not my agenda.
Holistic vets are behind the biggest push for this veganism for CARNIVORES. Ask them who taught them nutrition in school. If they even learned any since it’s often optional.
Then ask people if they believe a horse or a cow is an omnivore. They are forced to eat unnatural things in factory and feedlot settings so does that mean they became omnivores? People don’t want to learn they simply want to argue their opinions.”
And you know what? Therein lies the REAL crux of all and any issues we ARGUE about these days on every social media platform, blog, podcast, etc, etc. We just want to argue our OPINIONS. That’s why I don’t need to argue it anymore. I know the Truth. And when you know the Truth. The Truth will set (make) you free.
The first step is to get over ourselves. Then see the animals for who and what they are and embrace them as what they are. If you can’t, then don’t get one. This madness has gone on for far, far too long.
Here is a GREAT quote by Henry Beston in the Outermost House: “We need another and a wiser and perhaps a more mystical concept of animals. Remote from universal nature and living by complicated artifice, man in civilization surveys the creature through the glass of his knowledge and sees thereby a feather magnified and the whole image in distortion. We patronize them for their incompleteness, for their tragic fate for having taken form so far below ourselves. And therein do we err. For the animal shall not be measured by man. In a world older and more complete than ours, they move finished and complete, gifted with the extension of the senses we have lost or never attained, living by voices we shall never hear. They are not brethren, they are not underlings: they are other nations, caught with ourselves in the net of life and time, fellow prisoners of the splendour and travail of the earth.”
So until next time…
Have a PAWsitively, tail-waggin’, NATUROPATHICALLY healthy day!
